EXISTING BUILDING

PROPOSED CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
This three-story residential building, located in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, was originally constructed in 1915. In 2024, a fire severely damaged the upper floor, with flames spreading to the middle floor and staircase. The remodel addresses this damage and introduces several upgrades to modernize the property.
As part of the renovation, a new roof structure is being built, with the rear section of the building raised to accommodate a full-sized bathroom and kitchen on the top floor. Each level of the building will feature new balconies at the back, enhancing outdoor living space and accessibility. Additionally, the front facade is being redesigned to improve curb appeal, and a dormer is being added to increase natural light and usable space in the upper floor.
This comprehensive remodel blends restoration with thoughtful modernization, preserving the building’s historic character while adapting it to contemporary living standards.
The TriPod Flats is a bold adaptive reuse project that transforms a disused garage into three compact, self-contained living units. Designed for urban efficiency and modern aesthetics, the project reimagines micro-living with a focus on light, texture, and spatial ingenuity.
